Current and Recent Projects
  • Established a pure water sales and vending project with housing development residents’ organizations under license from the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA).

  • Prepared a pure water marketing project for one of southern California’s largest supermarket chains focused on attracting a larger share of the Hispanic consumer population.

  • Undertook an assignment for one of the nation’s largest multi-brand fast food chains, recommending action to gain a higher share of the coffee-based morning breakfast business.

  • Developed a project plan, adopted by a United Nations affiliated agency, to provide strategic marketing services directly to coffee producing nations.

  • Served as the staff strategic marketing advisor for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Music Department, focused on audience development, 2003-2004.

Past Projects

  • Founded Pasqua Coffee in 1983, a specialty coffee company, which grew into a chain with 58 stores, 700 employees and $26.5 million in annual revenue. Purchased by Starbucks in 1999, Pasqua was one of five coffee businesses acquired by Starbucks throughout the years. Zuckerman sold Starbucks its second coffee acquisition in 1978, a grocery store brand of fresh roasted coffee.

  • Innovated as a specialty coffee entrepreneur, first from a cart then to grocery shelves, kiosks and stores. He has been one of the category’s concept leaders, active from 1972-1999.

  • Invented specialty coffee equipment including the combination espresso/filter brewer, milk steamer-foamer, the counter-top espresso brewer, and the Cafe Armoire.

  • Directed the development of the Safe Drinking Water Project.

  • Promoted alternative energy solutions as the sales and marketing director of a successful solar energy contracting firm.

  • Advocated public utltiy policies as part of the Mayor's Citizen Energy Task Force in San Francisco and through public utility ownereship campaigns.

  • Organized as a professional fund-raiser, Congressional political campaign operative and field manager, and community organization founder and CEO.

  • Worked in public and commercial radio broadcasting, on-air, in management and development.

  • Advised individuals in the arts on the business-side of their endeavors:
