| Leading a project to develop safe drinking water supply, Zuckerman prepared and presented the Dakota Water Systems paper at the NSF/WHO/PAHO conference in Washington, D.C. in May, 1998. He attended the 2nd Global Water Forum at The Hague in March 2000. |

| In the early 1990s, America's unemployed soared in number. Zuckerman started, and, for three years personally operated a Saturday morning free–breakfast program: 1000 people were fed each week in San Francisco's Tenderloin district. |
